Weekend reflection 5
The reflection session of the fifth week of teaching practice was organized on Saturday 9-12-2023 from 10 am in the college seminar hall. Today the reflection was held under the leadership of Riju sir, the principal of the college.
Anjali from Natural Science was the first to take the stage. She said about Trikanamangalam School. Anjali said that no peer evaluation had been done yet. She mentioned that she had yoga observation last week.Then , Anju and Amina of Physical Science, represented our school SNSMHSS ELAMPALLOOR. They mainly raised the complaint of getting substitution for 8 periods.Leter, Ruby from Physical Science came to tell about Devi Vilasam Thalavoor School.It was Jane who spoke about St. Mary's Adore School. The matters of the school election were shared.
Rahul and Aishwarya took to the stage representing Government High School Padanilam from English. She commented that elections were held in her school and it was a party school. They said that there was a tendency to inculcate party thinking in the minds of children.
Then reflection was said by Gayatri in English. Gayatri shared the details of Chengamanad School.
Next Aneeta from Valakam school told about the school. The main issue raised was the addition of an extra period for sargamela. Due to this the duration of class was reduced to 35 minutes.
Later, Megha in English spoke about Chowvallur School. She said that a class was organized under the leadership of ASAP of the school to develop creativity in children
Then Arsha Das from malayalm optional subject went on stage to tell the details of the Marthoma School. She explained the matters and methods of election in the school. She also shared their experiences of general observation.
Next, Aswathi from Marthoma School came to tell the reflection. After that, Neenu came to tell about St. Mary's School. She said that they are celebrating every moment of training.
After her, Fatima Shamsudeen from Nediyavila School said reflection. She shared the experiences of general observation.
Later, Amala came to tell about Veliyam School and said that she did not even know about the election.
Neelu said about Irumpanangad school that the teachers are very happy as they have completed the portion.
Sneha from Pooyapally shared her experiences at school. They also had yoga observation.
Sridevi talked about Perumkulam school
Devika spoke about St. Gregorius School. It was mentioned that Devika has to teach up to class 10 as there is no biology teacher.
After that Aksa Alex told about Kotara School and finally Kavya talked about Muttara School. Kavya spoke about the lack of standards of children.
After everyone said reflection, teachers also shared their observation experiences.
Praveena teacher was the first to share the experiences of class observations. She shared her experiences and also gave general instructions to improve the classroom experiences. She also mentioned about the students who took excellent classes.
Then kavya miss from English departmentshared her experiences. She said that it is customary for teachers to come to schools as a surprise and shock the children.
Then Akhil sir shared his experience. After that, Shreeja teacher pointed out the general tendencies and mistakes of the children in her class. By 12.45 reflection ended.
